Kai Seki Magoroku knife sharpener for single-edge knives

Introduction This KAI knife sharpener AP-0162 used both diamond and ceramics as abrasive. This makes it perfect when sharpening hard types of steel. With this KAI sharpener you can sharpen Japanese knives with a one-sided grind in three phases. From blunt to razor-sharp in no-time! ## Three sharpening phases with a unique finish Each of the three sharpening slots uses a different sharpening method. The first slot contains two small diamond sharpening stones with grain size 270. Relatively coarse and therefore perfect for the first sharpening phase to restore a blunt edge. During step two you sharpen the knife with ceramic sharpening wheels. You have a choice of a grain of 150 or 1000. You determine which you use by moving the knife alongside it either from the front or the back. The wheel with grain size 150 might be coarser than the diamond sharpening stones, but has a less aggressive function. You use the 1000-stone to polish the edge. For it you can also use the two ceramic sharpening steels from step 3. ## Practical design The KAI knife sharpener has a stylish and solid design and is easy to take with you. If you don’t use it you can easily store the sharpener in a transparent plastic cover to make sure no dust or dirt can get caught in between the slots. If you use it you take out the sharpener and use the ‘casing’ as handle, for optimal stability while sharpening.
