The AC55 reference open back clip on headphones incorporate a rigidity enhanced shaped bio fibre composite diaphragm, a custom ultra elastic surround and a high dynamic symmetric motor system. These significantly enhance the performance of clip on headphones in bass response, dynamics and layering delivering bass which is deep and smooth as well as detailed treble.
The 40mm diaphragm increases the effective vibration area 70% compared to similar headphones. The combination of bio-fibre and a thermally stabilised layer further enhances rigidity resulting in focused and refined high frequencies. Equipped with a custom ultra elastic long excursion surround system, the AC55 fully unleashes the diaphragms displacement potential. Not only is the bass powerful and energetic but it also extends deep into sub bass regions that are typically challenging for conventional clip on headphones.
The AC55 also incorporates a high dynamic symmetric motor system optimised for long excursion structures. It provides ample room for voice coil movement and high SPL recordings. It ensures precise diaphragm control maintaining stable output and low distortion.
Acoustic performance often comes with the challenge of increased weight. To address this Aune developed a semi memory alloy ear hook. Its curvature and angle have been optimised to better fit the contours of the distributing pressure for enhanced comfort. It’s moderate adjustability also ensures a precise and secure fit for a range of ear shapes.
